Talking physics in the social Web La Revista Physics Web ha publicado un interesante número sobre el impacto de la web 2.0 en la Física. En unos de los artículos (http://physicsweb.org/articles/world/20/1/5/1) se discuten los resultados de una encuesta que realizaron a unos 60 físicos en relación al uso de wikis y blogs con fines científicos. Como en toda disciplina hay investigadores interesados en explorar las implicaciones de la web 2.0 para el desarrollo de la ciencia mientras que otros luchan por mantener el status quo. This chapter shows how teachers are helping children around the world develop these new literacies with Internet technologies. It also explores the nature of these new literacies that build upon traditional reading and writing experiences and explains why these new literacies are central to our children’s future. It suggests we must begin to include the literacies associated with the Internet in a broader definition of what it means to become literate.
